Terms of service
Version of 1 October 2026
Draft for review. This text hasn't been approved yet and may change before launch.
These terms apply to iedu.com.pk, the school management service run by [Company legal name] (“we”, “us”). They are an agreement between us and the school or college that uses the service (“the school”). The school's owner accepts them for the school when they first sign in. Everyone the school gives an account to (staff, parents and guardians) must also follow the rules in section 5.
1. The service
iedu.com.pk gives each school a public website, a portal for staff and parents, and a mobile app for parents. It covers the school's website content, students and guardians, attendance, fees and notifications. We may improve and change features over time. If we remove a feature the school relies on, we tell the owner at least 30 days before.
During a pilot, the school uses the service before it is generally available. Things may change more often, and we work closely with the school to fix problems quickly.
2. Accounts
- The school's owner controls who gets an account and which role they have. The school is responsible for what its accounts do.
- Passwords are personal. Someone whose first password was set by the school must choose their own at first sign-in.
- Tell us straight away if you think an account has been misused.
- Our support staff can sign in as a school user to help with a problem. Every time they do, it is recorded, and it lasts at most an hour.
3. The school's responsibilities
- The school decides what personal data it enters, including children's data, and must have the right to use it: for example by telling parents and guardians how their and their children's data is used, and getting their consent where the law requires it.
- The school keeps its records accurate and removes access for people who leave.
- The school is responsible for what it publishes on its website, and must have the rights to its text and pictures.
- Fees, attendance and other records in the service are the school's own records. Decisions based on them are the school's decisions.
4. School data
The data a school enters belongs to the school. We use it only to run the service for that school, as set out in the data processing statement, which is part of these terms. We never sell it or use it for advertising. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
5. Acceptable use
Nobody using the service may:
- try to reach another school's data, or data their own role doesn't allow;
- test the service's security, overload it, or scrape it, without our written permission;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights;
- use the service to send spam, or to harass anyone;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we tell the school's owner when we do.
6. Fees
Prices, the billing period and any pilot discount are agreed in writing with the school. If a school doesn't pay an invoice within 30 days of its due date, we may suspend the service after giving the owner 14 days' notice. Suspending never deletes data.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available and to fix problems quickly, and we plan maintenance for times when schools are closed where we can. We can't promise the service will never be interrupted. Staff can ask for help from Help in the portal.
8. Ending the service
- The school can stop using the service at the end of any billing period by telling us in writing.
- We can end it with 60 days' notice, or straight away if the school seriously breaks these terms.
- When the service ends, the school can ask for a copy of its data within 30 days. We then delete it as described in the data processing statement.
9. Our rights
We own the service, its software and its design. The school may use them while it is a customer. The school gives us permission to host, copy and show its content only as needed to run the service.
10. Liability
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care, but otherwise as it is. As far as the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, and our total liability in any year is limited to the fees the school paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change, we tell school owners at least 30 days before it applies, and owners accept the new version in the portal. The date at the top shows which version this is.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts of [city] have jurisdiction.
